Bespoke Care for Families
Every family lives at a different pace, from long workdays in the City, to international travel, to the exciting but exhausting arrival of a new baby. That’s why we don’t publish generic fee lists. Instead, we tailor our placements to your lifestyle, schedule and the level of support you need.
What Shapes Your Investment
The cost of your nanny or maternity nurse depends on several factors:
-
Whether you require live-in, daily or temporary care
-
The length of placement (short-term newborn support or permanent nanny placement)
-
Your location and the surrounding areas
-
Any specialist skills requested, such as sleep training, experience with multiples or additional languages
What We Promise You
-
Upfront clarity — you’ll know all costs before making a decision
-
Tailored options — bespoke placements so you only pay for what you truly need
-
Ongoing support — including replacement guarantees and check-ins throughout the placement
-
The first step is a no-obligation consultation. We’ll discuss your needs, answer your questions and prepare a bespoke proposal for your family.

Salary Guide

-
London vs UK Regions – Rates are higher in London and the South East compared to the rest of the UK due to higher living costs and demand.
-
Gross vs Net – All figures are quoted gross (before tax & NI). Actual take-home pay will vary.
-
Experience & Qualifications – Candidates with specialist training (e.g. maternity care, SEN experience, or twin experience) command higher fees.
-
Hours Worked – Weekly and annual salaries assume a 45–55 hour working week unless otherwise stated.
-
Live-In Roles – Accommodation and meals are provided, which is factored into the overall package. This is why live-in salaries can appear lower than live-out on paper.
-
Temporary & Short-Term Contracts – These often carry higher hourly/daily rates to reflect flexibility and short notice.
-
Rota Nannies – These are specialist roles, usually working 24/7 in shifts (e.g. 1 week on/1 week off). Salaries reflect intensity, responsibility and frequent travel.
-
Junior Nannies – Typically candidates with less experience or newly qualified. Salaries are set lower to reflect their stage of career progression.
-
Babysitting Rates – Evening/weekend babysitting is usually charged per hour, with higher rates during bank holidays, New Year’s Eve, or after midnight.
-
Overtime / Extra Hours – Additional hours outside the agreed contract should be paid at the agreed hourly rate or higher.
-
Agency Placement Fees – Employer costs will include agency fees on top of gross salaries (if applicable).
-
Employment Costs – Employers are responsible for holiday pay, pension contributions, and NI on top of gross wages (we can support you with this).
-
Annual Salary Ranges – Annual figures are approximate, based on multiplying weekly rates by 52. Actual salaries may vary depending on paid holiday, sick pay, and contract terms.
-
Overnight Rates – For nannies/maternity nurses, overnight fees depend on whether the carer is expected to provide active care throughout the night or simply be present if needed (“on call” vs “sleeping”).
-
Maternity Nurses, ad-hoc Nannies and babysitters typically work on a self-employed basis.
